AC/DC CONCEPT
AC current represents alternating current.
In a layman's term it is the NEPA current and most of our appliances that we use in our homes are produced to be powered by this kind of current for example; TVs radios, decoders, refrigerators, air conditioners e t c.
However the DC current is for any appliance that is battery based.
Solar energy: When it was configured we discovered cannot go straight and power products that we may want to use in the night, so therefore battery is needed. That means some of the appliances must be produced to use battery.
Presently, we have battery based appliances, example are laptops our GSM phone, some TVs, some refrigerators and so on and so forth.
So this is the first step in building the foundation for solar installation for basic households.
💥 So what do I recommend?
💥 I recommend that everyone that wants to go into household solar installation should begin to invest in products that are DC-based
For example solar rechargeable fans, battery radios, laptops, solar television, that is DC TV, solar refrigerator, LED bulbs and any appliance that can be powered by battery.
In fact the best way to reduce the cost of energy generation is to go into battery based products number
Solar electrification for a novice
Any person can go into solar installation of their home by learning the basic things that we are going to share in this class.
💥 Why do I say so?
💥To put solar panels on your roof, it can be done in a simple way.
💥 An electrician close to your home can help you conclude the wiring system 💥while you and the electrician can decide to install the solar panels on your roof or beside the homes by yourself.
💥 It can be mounted on stands if you have compound space where you can Mount it. it's not a must that the solar panel should be placed on the roof top.
SIZING FOR FOUNDATIONAL HOME APPLIANCES
For the purpose of achieving real solar electricity installation usage I will be concentrating on DC home sizing configuration.

💢2-3 light bulbs-20watts
💢Charging outlet
💢Radio/Mp3 powering or charging point.-20watts
💢 DcTv- 30-55watts, printer and laptop.-55watts
All of the above when you put the energy rating use together, it's not more than
50w-150wm
Complete solar system has four major components ✓solar panel ✓charge controller ✓battery and ✓inverter
we will be dealing on this solar system in the next lesson but for now we know that this is the other type of system that are used in homes compared to the one we treated in this particular lesson because the normal system is for AC appliances while the one we treated are for DC appliances,
AC appliances are appliances that you powered with Nepa light or your petrol or diesel generators while DC is any appliance that you can use battery to power
