HOW TO REDUCE YOUR ENERGY COST

HOW TO REDUCE YOUR ENERGY COST
By Dipo Segun Smith

You can conveniently run two solar fans, five energy-saving bulbs, a TV with decoder, and charge multiple phones on a 500W solar system with a 100Ah battery when power usage is managed wisely.

Use LED bulbs, limit TV viewing to a few hours, and avoid running all appliances at once. Solar fans consume far less power than regular fans, helping the battery last longer.

THE MARRIAGE THAT ALMOST NEVER HAPPENED

THE MARRIAGE THAT ALMOST NEVER HAPPENED!

By Dipo Segun Smith

They almost gave up.
Kunle and Sade met  in Abeokuta, Ogun State, after a midweek church service near Kuto. What started as friendship grew into love, but the waiting stretched far longer than they planned or expected.
Years passed by, and life refused to cooperate. Kunle’s income was unstable at that season, and Sade’s small tailoring business barely covered her daily needs.

There was no money for a wedding ceremony, no savings for a decent house where they can start a family, only faith and constant prayers was in abundance.

Pressure came from everywhere. Friends moved on. Family members advised them to “wait till things are better.” some said they should quite the relationship.

Many times, they talked about ending it, not because love was gone, but because life felt too hard.

Still, they held on. They prayed together, fasted, and chose patience over embarrassment. Then slowly, things shifted. Kunle got a steady job in a factory in Abeokuta through a church contact.

Sade began receiving more sewing orders. It wasn’t plenty, but it was enough to hold body and soul together. Smile returned gradually.

They held a simple wedding, no luxury, just joy. A small room became their first home.

Today, they testify that God didn’t just delay them. He prepared them for a simple Marrital life. All things works together for good.

ADUNI'S BATTLE AGAINST FAILURE

ADUNI'S BATTLE AGAINST
FAILURE
By Dipo Segun Smith
29th January 2026

Aduni finished university with big dreams and a quiet faith. Lagos felt overwhelming—crowded streets, endless applications, and many polite “we’ll get back to you” replies that never came. Still, she held on. Every morning, she prayed, sent out applications, and whispered Psalm 23:1: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Rejections came, but Aduni didn’t stop. She refined her CV, learned new skills, and showed up again the next day. Then, when hope felt thin, an offer arrived—not the dream job, but an internship. She accepted it gratefully and worked with excellence, diligence, and humility.

A year later, her persistence paid off. Aduni was offered a full appointment. Her journey became a quiet reminder that faith, patience, and consistent effort can turn small beginnings into lasting breakthroughs.

Testimony: Iya Eleja Store – From Loss to Peaceful Profit

Testimony: Iya Eleja Store – From Loss to Peaceful Profit

Iya Eleja runs a small fish shop with just one freezer. Every day, her biggest challenge was petrol. To keep her fish frozen, she had to run a generator for long hours. The cost of fuel, regular servicing, and constant repairs swallowed her profits. Some days, after all the stress and noise, she still recorded losses. When petrol finished unexpectedly, fish would spoil, and customers would complain.

Everything changed when she invested in a small solar system to power her freezer. From the first week, the difference was clear. No more daily spending on petrol. No more generator breakdowns. No more noise disturbing customers and neighbors. Her freezer now runs quietly and consistently.

Today, Iya Eleja smiles with confidence. Her fish stays fresh, her expenses are low, and her business now makes steady profit. Solar power turned her struggle into peace and progress.

Our Church's move From Generator Burden to Solar Testimony - Pastor D

From Generator Burden to Solar Testimony

I am a pastor, and for years our church depended heavily on a petrol generator to power our public address system and a few light bulbs during services. Every week, fuel expenses kept rising. Sometimes, we spent close to ₦40,000–₦50,000 monthly just to ensure sound and basic lighting. It became a serious burden on the church finances.

In faith and with wise counsel, we decided to take a step forward. We installed a ₦600,000 one-kVA solar system, designed specifically to power our public address system and five bulbs. It was not a luxury setup—just a focused, purpose-driven solution.
Within the first four to six months, the results were undeniable.

The money we used to pour into fuel was no longer going into the generator. When we reviewed our records, we realized the church had saved almost ₦1,000,000 in fuel costs within that short period. What once went into petrol now goes into ministry work, welfare, and church growth.
Beyond the savings, the peace of mind is priceless. No more generator noise during worship, no fuel scarcity worries, and no service interruptions.

Even during power outages, church activities continue smoothly.
This solar investment has taught us an important lesson: wise stewardship and technology can work hand in hand with faith. Today, our church stands as a living testimony that small, strategic solar systems can bring big financial relief.
Indeed, the sun now works for the church—and the savings speak louder than the generator ever did.

Inverter Battery vs Car Battery: What’s the Difference + Nigeria Price Guide (50Ah – 220Ah)

Inverter Battery vs Car Battery:
What’s the Difference + Nigeria Price Guide (50Ah – 220Ah)

🧠 What’s the Real Difference Between an Inverter Battery and a Normal Car Battery?

Most people think all 12-volt batteries are the same, but inverter batteries and car batteries are built for very different jobs:

✅ Inverter Battery
Is designed to provide power backup for homes or offices during electricity outages. Or for office who operate power outside the grid.
It is built for deep-cycle use, this meas that the power in the battery  can be discharged and recharged many times without damage, and it discharges power slowly.
It  provides steady power over long  hours to run home appliances lights, fans, TVs, pumps, laptops, printers,  fridges and freezers and small appliances.

❌ Car Battery are
designed mainly to start a car engine by delivering a large burst of current in a short time.
It is not meant to be deeply discharged repeatedly. If you drain a car battery often, it loses capacity fast and can get damaged.

👉 Bottom Line: You can technically run an inverter with a car battery, but it will run out quickly and will not give you good backup power. Always choose a deep-cycle inverter battery for power backup any time.

5 Silent Habits Slowly Destroying Family Peace (Most Homes Ignore ) - Part 3

Part 3: How to Restore and Protect Family Peace
Dipo Segun Smith
20 Jan 2026

5 Silent Habits Slowly Destroying Family Peace (Most Homes Ignore )

The good news is that family peace can be restored, no matter how long silent habits have existed. Change does not require perfection; it requires intention and consistency.

The first step is restoring open communication. Families must create safe spaces for honest conversations. This does not mean constant debates but respectful expression. Listening without interruption and responding without judgment rebuilds trust. When people feel heard, peace begins to return.

The second step is reclaiming shared time. Simple routines like eating together, praying together, or having weekly family discussions strengthen bonds. These moments do not need to be long or expensive. Consistency matters more than duration.

Third, replace comparison with appreciation. Every family has a unique journey. Focusing on strengths instead of shortcomings brings contentment. Appreciation should be spoken, not assumed. Words of affirmation restore confidence and belonging.

Fourth, address conflicts early and gently. Small issues should be discussed before they grow. Apologies should be sincere. Forgiveness should be practiced regularly. Peace thrives where humility exists.

Finally, set clear values and boundaries. When everyone understands expectations, confusion reduces. Peace grows in environments where structure and love coexist.

Family peace is not automatic; it is cultivated. Silent habits can quietly destroy it, but intentional actions can restore it even faster. Homes that prioritize communication, appreciation, and connection become safe places where love flourishes and peace remains.

A peaceful family is not one without challenges, but one that chooses unity despite them.

5 Silent Habits Slowly Destroying Family Peace (Most Homes Ignore ) - Part 2

Part 2: Emotional Distance That Grows Unnoticed

By Dipo Segun Smith
20 Jan 2026

5 Silent Habits Slowly Destroying Family Peace (Most Homes Ignore )

Another set of habits that silently damages family peace involves emotions that are left unattended. Emotional neglect does not always look like cruelty. Often, it looks like busyness, tiredness, or routine.

The fourth silent habit is taking family members for granted. When appreciation disappears, people begin to feel invisible. Spouses stop saying thank you. Parents assume children understand love without hearing it. Children stop expressing gratitude because it is no longer modeled. Over time, this lack of appreciation creates emotional hunger, even in homes where basic needs are met.

The fifth habit is unresolved conflict. Many families believe time heals all wounds, but time only covers issues; it does not resolve them. When conflicts are ignored, they resurface in different forms. Small disagreements become long-standing bitterness. Tone changes. Kindness reduces. The home becomes tense, even without open arguments.

Another damaging habit is inconsistent leadership in the home. When values, rules, and expectations change constantly, family members feel insecure. Children especially thrive on consistency. A lack of clear direction creates confusion, rebellion, or withdrawal. Peace cannot thrive in an environment where boundaries are unclear.

Emotional distance grows quietly when families stop checking in with one another. Simple questions like “How are you really doing?” or “What is bothering you?” begin to disappear. When emotional connection weakens, misunderstanding becomes common, and assumptions replace empathy.

Families must understand that peace is not the absence of problems but the presence of healthy communication and emotional safety. Creating time for conversation, appreciation, and conflict resolution restores warmth and trust. Emotional closeness must be nurtured deliberately, or emotional distance will develop naturally.

Every family can rebuild peace by choosing intentional connection over convenience and understanding over assumption.

5 Silent Habits Slowly Destroying Family Peace (Most Homes Ignore ) -Part 1

The Quiet Erosion of Family Peace -Part 1

Dipo Segun Smith

5 Silent Habits Slowly Destroying Family Peace (Most Homes Ignore )

Many families do not lose peace through one big crisis. Instead, peace is slowly eroded by small, repeated habits that feel normal but are deeply damaging over time. These habits often go unnoticed because they are silent. No shouting. No dramatic conflict. Yet, they weaken trust, joy, and togetherness in the home.

The first silent habit is poor communication masked as “keeping the peace.”
In many homes, family members avoid honest conversations because they do not want arguments. Parents keep quiet. Spouses bottle up frustrations. Children learn not to speak up. Over time, silence becomes resentment. When people stop expressing how they feel, misunderstanding grows, and emotional distance replaces closeness. Sometime deep seated hatred for one another are cemented in their hearts

The second habit is constant distraction inside the home. Phones, television, and social media have become permanent family members. Meals are eaten with screens on. Conversations are interrupted by notifications and alerts. Even when everyone is physically present, no one is emotionally available for one another. Even during the loss of loved ones people are still glued to the phones or tablets. This habit slowly breaks family bonding because attention is the currency of love. When attention disappears, connection weakens.

The third habit, which many homes ignore, is unspoken comparison. This happens when family members are constantly measuring one  against the others. A spouse compares their partner to another couple. Parents compare their children to other children. Even financial comparison plays a role. Though these comparisons are rarely spoken aloud, they are felt deeply. Comparison kills contentment and replaces gratitude with pressure and insecurity.

Family peace does not disappear overnight. It fades quietly when these habits are allowed to continue unchecked.

The good news is that what develops silently can also be corrected intentionally. Awareness is the first step. When families recognize these habits early, they can take deliberate actions to restore peace and unity.

Peace in the home is not accidental. It is built through attention, communication, and appreciation. The earlier these silent habits are addressed, the easier it is to protect the harmony every family desires.

The Gospel of the Kingdom: Understanding the Authority of Christ Over Sin, Satan, and Death

The Gospel of the Kingdom: Understanding the Authority of Christ Over Sin, Satan, and Death

The Gospel of the Kingdom is more than a message of forgiveness; it is the announcement of God’s reign through Jesus Christ. When Jesus came preaching, He said, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). This gospel reveals that through Christ, God has established His authority over sin, Satan, and death, and invites humanity to live under that authority. Understanding this truth transforms not only personal faith but also daily life and family relationships.

At the heart of the Gospel of the Kingdom is the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus did not only come to save souls for heaven; He came to restore God’s rule in the hearts of men. By His sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, and victorious resurrection, Christ broke the power of sin. Sin no longer has legal dominion over those who believe in Him. Romans 6:14 declares, “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” This means that through the gospel, believers are not helpless victims of sinful habits or destructive lifestyles. Christ’s authority gives power to live a new life of obedience and righteousness.

The Gospel of the Kingdom also proclaims Christ’s authority over Satan. Colossians 2:15 tells us that Jesus “spoiled principalities and powers” and triumphed over them openly through the cross. Satan, who once held humanity in fear and bondage, has been defeated by Christ. While the devil is still active in the world, his authority has been broken. Believers now stand in Christ’s victory. This truth brings confidence, peace, and boldness in spiritual warfare.

The gospel assures believers that fear, oppression, and demonic influence do not have the final say; Jesus does.
Furthermore, the Gospel of the Kingdom announces victory over death. Through His resurrection, Christ conquered the grave and brought life and immortality to light. Death is no longer the end for those who are in Christ. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:57, “Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” This hope reshapes how believers view suffering, loss, and the future. Eternal life is not just a promise for tomorrow but a reality that begins now, giving meaning and hope to everyday living.
Understanding the gospel in this way deeply affects a believer’s daily life. First, it shapes identity. A believer no longer sees himself as a defeated sinner but as a redeemed citizen of God’s Kingdom.

This identity influences decisions, values, and priorities. Daily choices at work, in business, and in relationships are guided by the question: “How does a citizen of God’s Kingdom live?” Integrity, love, forgiveness, and humility become practical expressions of kingdom life.
Second, the Gospel of the Kingdom affects daily conduct through obedience to Christ’s authority. Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18). When a believer submits to Christ’s lordship, daily life becomes aligned with God’s will. Prayer is no longer a religious routine but a way of enforcing kingdom authority. Reading the Word becomes a source of direction and strength. Challenges are faced with faith, knowing that Christ reigns above every situation.

The gospel also has a powerful impact on family life. When Christ’s authority is acknowledged in the home, it brings order, peace, and love. Husbands are called to love their wives sacrificially, as Christ loves the church. Wives are encouraged to support and respect their husbands. Parents raise children with godly values, discipline, and instruction in the Lord. The Gospel of the Kingdom teaches forgiveness, patience, and reconciliation, which are essential for healthy family relationships. Instead of strife and bitterness, the home becomes a place where Christ’s peace rules.

In addition, families that understand the Gospel of the Kingdom live with purpose. They see their home as a center for kingdom influence, prayer, and godly example. Family devotion, shared prayer, and mutual encouragement become tools through which Christ’s authority is expressed. Such families stand strong against moral decay, fear, and societal pressure because they are grounded in the truth of the gospel.

In conclusion, the Gospel of the Kingdom is the declaration that Jesus Christ reigns supreme over sin, Satan, and death. It is a message of power, restoration, and hope. When embraced, it transforms personal life and family living. Believers are empowered to live victoriously, love deeply, and stand boldly as representatives of God’s Kingdom on earth. This gospel is not only to be believed but to be lived daily, bringing heaven’s authority into everyday life.

Nigeria’s New Dawn: How the TACMX Reforms Are Opening Doors for Every Citizen

Nigeria’s New Dawn: How the TACMX Reforms Are Opening Doors for Every Citizen

Dipo Segun Smith
16 January 2026

When the TACMX reforms were announced in January 2026, many Nigerians listened with cautious hearts. We had heard promises before. But as weeks turned into months, something quietly began to change, not just in policy papers, but in markets, offices, farms, and digital spaces across the country.

Aisha, a small-scale fashion designer in Ilorin, was among the first to notice. The new tax adjustments under TACMX reduced the burden on micro and small businesses, allowing her to reinvest profits instead of struggling to survive.

With easier access to digital payment systems and simplified registration processes, she expanded her customer base beyond her state, selling to buyers in Lagos and even abroad.
In Aba, Chinedu, a spare-parts dealer, felt renewed confidence.

The reforms encouraged local manufacturing by reducing import bottlenecks and supporting domestic production. Demand for locally assembled goods increased, and with better access to credit through TACMX-backed financial channels, Chinedu hired two apprentices, young men who once doubted they had a future.

Farmers were not left out. In rural communities, TACMX-linked infrastructure funding improved storage and transportation. Produce that once spoiled now reached markets on time. Prices stabilized. Income grew. Hope returned.

What makes the TACMX reforms different is not just policy, but participation.

The reforms were designed to reward productivity, innovation, and honesty. Tax the rich and protect the poor, or tax prosperity and protec the low income and middle class. Create Digital transparency reduced leakages, while incentives will end up attracting investors who had once looked away from Nigeria.

Slowly, confidence in the system has began to rise.

The economy did not transform overnight, but it began to heal. Nigerians can start to plan again with the consistency of government policy.

Young people are exploring tech, agribusiness, logistics, and creative industries, knowing the system was finally making room for them.

Faith in a nation is slowly getting rebuilt when people are seeing opportunity where there was once frustration.

The TACMX reforms are not a magic wand, but they are a strong foundation. For Nigerians willing to learn, adapt, and work, 2026 marks not just a policy shift, but the beginning of a new economic story worth believing in.
