ADULTERY IN CHRISTIAN MARRIAGES Part 1

This word is rearly spoken of in the churches this days because many more grievous sins have evolved and the punishment for adultery is mild or non existence.

More grievous sin to the African church is Gay-ism and it's likes. The church is still trying to evolve a common response to this strange new popular sin.

Leviticus 20:10

*‘If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one* *who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and* *the adulteress shall surely be put to death.*

This scripture is the real version of the initial opinion if the law.

Matthew 5:27-28
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Despite this expansion of the law our lord Jesus created a way out for repentant adulterer.

John 8:4-11
4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”
6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.
10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

The woman was exonorated by the mercy of God and the opportunity to repent.

It looks like a contradiction but it is not. Unrepentant adulteress can't make heaven. That is not because God hates adulteress but just because adulteress refuse to repent. Some factors make repentance difficult this days.

1. Pornography and it's excessive use-age
2. Lesbianism distortion
3. Homosexuality madness
4. Erectile disfunction and premature ejaculation challenges use.

I will explain this fully in part two. The church is facing a great challenge on how to respond holistically to this challenges facing christians.
