CHURCH MANAGEMENT-Managing God's People

Managing God's People - Part 1
The people you Pastor are sacred. They're God's belonging. They're precious to Him. He is jealous of them.

He paid an unimaginable price for them because they're dear to Him. We can't afford to treat them like mere people and not provoke God's wrath.

They must be treated with respect and reverence by we who have been entrusted to lead them, whether as Pastors or subgroup leaders.

Acts 20:28
[28]Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

The Apostle is reminding us that these men and women and children under our leadership are God's flock whom He purchased with His own blood.

We are only privileged people serving as superintendent, caretakers, stewards or managers on God's behalf. We must never forget our place or assume ownership of these precious people of God.

We must be careful and cautious how we lead the Church of God. We're not permitted to do whatever we deem fit. We must always remember that our task over these people is sacred.

Whether you're a subgroup leader, branch Pastor or General Overseer, your assignment over the people under you is the same - sacred service to the Lord's flock.

Our core relationship with the flock is that of stewardship. We are called and ordained to manage God's people on His behalf. So our dealings with the people must always reflect that.

None of us will ever graduate from the position of serving the Lord's sheep. It's the most honourable assignment there is.

1 Corinthians 4:2
[2]Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

God keenly watching how you're leading that subgroup in your Church. He is watching how you're pastoring that branch Church. One day we'll all give accounts.

We are to manage them by His terms not ours. The scripture only is your guide to leading the flock of God. That means you must be vast and conversant with it.

Remember that you're a steward that will give account of your stewardship to the Lord. Your faithfulness in handling and managing God's people will be tested with fire.

Our privileged position of leading and overseeing the church of God must not be missued by words or actions. While we must be firm and authoritative where need be we must be respectful and honouring to them.
