My name is Irene Paul. I’m 24yrs old and a mother of one. I got married 3yrs ago to the love of my life-or…the man I thought is the love of my life. When I was younger, I had a lot of dreams of having perfect marriage with a good looking, caring and rich husband 4 kids, we’d spend a lot of time with each other and have fun but I found out marriage is not bed of roses. Let me start from the very beginning.
I met my husband at a church program few years ago; we got talking after the program and discovered we had a few things in common so when he invited me out for lunch the next day, I didn’t hesitate to say “yes”. You can’t blame me; I was a 21yr old virgin who only knew the way to my workplace, the market and church. My friends tried their best to invite anytime they were going out or hook me up with another guy but I always found one church program or another to keep myself busy so when Dennis asked to meet up with me, I quickly agreed. The girls were surprised and happy as they watched me go through my wardrobe in search of something nice to wear. They asked a lot of questions and I happily answered them all adding extra information that got them excited. ”I can’t believe you finally agreed to go out with guy, I thought it’s a sin to go out with the opposite sex in your church?” Mary, a friend of mine teased. ”It’s probably because they met in church”, Anita another friend of mine replied laughing.
